One of the joys of owning a print shop is producing self-promotional materials. It’s also an opportunity to test the type and see how it ‘plays’ with other type, what physical shape it’s in and to allow for surprises in design that don’t always happen when solely designing on a computer. I have always worked to bring in type and materials that will expand the mission of the studio and not to collect for the sake of collecting. In this way, all of the type and ornament can be used regularly as it was intended when first produced.
Some of these pieces are business cards and small promos included with orders. There are also posters and flyers for many in-studio events and open houses.
