‘A Whale Ship’ is a contribution to the Bodleian Bibliographic Press’s ‘Very Like a Whale’ print collaboration in honor of Herman Melville’s 200th birthday. My extract from Moby Dick is a specific description of the whale ships so I built one from metal type and rule. It has a hidden whale as well.
Measures 20x14” and is printed on Fabriano Tiziano paper that’s medium gray with specks in it.
Limited edition of 35 copies.
