How the heck did I get into this? I started studying design for theater when I discovered that two dimensional surfaces were much more appealing. My education continued at the Art & Design Department at Columbia College in Chicago, where I met the fine folks at Fireproof Press. Working there convinced me that letterpress the old-fashioned, dirty way was the coolest. Here I am, 8 years later, running Starshaped Press. It's taken that long to amass a great collection of trusty presses as well as metal and wood type, and more is coming all the time.
